Electro Cardiography (ECG)
Electrocardiography is a diagnostic modality for diagnosis of ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias and conduction disorders.
Exercise Tolerance Test (ETT)
Exercise Tolerance Test is an adequate modality for screening, evaluation and diagnosis of ischemic heart disease, functional capacity assessment and selection of patients for further diagnostic evaluation.
Echocardiography
Echocardiography is the preferred diagnostic skill for evaluation of ischemic heart disease, structural heart disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease and assessment of left ventricular systolic and diastolic function and segmental wall motion abnormalities. In those patients who are not fit for exercise, echocardiography is the best alternative for assessment of left ventricular function and segmental wall motion abnormalities.
Echocardiography and its Doppler and tissue Doppler imaging modalities have revolutionized the field of valvular and congenital heart disease diagnosis and treatment. Latest available equipment has enabled us to study and evaluate the pathophysiology of pericardial disease, restrictive cardiomyopathy and diastolic dysfunction.
